Description

  • This artwork is a beautiful example of Manjusha painting, a traditional folk art of Bihar. The painting is made with bold outlines and filled with bright colors such as red, green, yellow, and white. The central focus is a large red chalice, inside which three human-like figures with bird-shaped faces are shown in festive postures. One figure is holding a long staff, while outside the chalice, another figure carries a bowl with red designs. A fourth figure appears in a playful, flying posture.
The border of the painting is decorated with repetitive floral and geometric motifs, which is a signature feature of Manjusha art. The overall style is symbolic and narrative, reflecting the storytelling tradition associated with the Bihula–Bishahari folklore. The joyful mood, bold patterns, and vibrant palette together make the painting visually striking and culturally rich.
